Calvin College, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a Christian liberal arts college within the Reformed tradition of historic Christianity. The Reformed tradition has a high view of creation affirming both that the Earth is our home and that it belongs to God. Within this tradition, Calvin College has a long history of emphasizing stewardship of and caring for creation. The has been addressing issues of sustainability for over ten years.

The Longest Summer Tour comes to Calvin College on Friday, October 17 at 11:30 AM in the Bunker Interpretive Center. All are welcome!

Urban Ecology Center: Imagine entering a naturally cool building, full of life: a naturalist feeding a giant snapping turtle in a huge aquarium, a group of adults comparing notes on the bird watching walk they’ve just taken, kids coming in from outside using their special door and “stream slides” into the building’s first floor. Climbing a long staircase to the top of the lookout tower outside the building, you enjoy a view of Milwaukee’s East Side and downtown. Looking across the building, you see a roof garden, a pond and a huge solar array.
